What is Micro-Needling with PRP?
Also referred to as Collagen Induction Therapy or skin needling, micro-needling is a minimally-invasive procedure utilizing 12 microscopic needles that are moved across the skin using a handheld, pen-like device. At Bella Tu, we use the Eclipse MicroPen™, a trusted name in micro-needling.

While this treatment is effective as a standalone procedure, at Bella Tu we also combine it with PRP from the patient’s own body to create optimal results. Creating and infusing PRP is a multi-step process:
- Prior to treatment, a small sample of the patient’s own blood is spun in a centrifuge, where it is separated into its separate components.
- Plasma, the liquid portion of the blood, is infused with a high concentration of platelets during this process. While primarily responsible for clotting the blood, platelets also contain growth factors that can aid in the regeneration of skin and tissues.
- Micro-needling opens the skin up and allows it to better absorb products. After the skin is needled, our medical team gently palpates PRP over treated areas, infusing it into the skin for maximum absorbency.
- Once infused into the skin of treated areas, the PRP works by helping the skin generate new cells. It can also help improve skin circulation, restoring a natural glow.
Is Micro-Needling with PRP Safe?
