What Are Cosmetic Injectables?
Cosmetic injectables are products injected beneath the skin, and most fall into two basic categories: neuromodulators and dermal fillers. Neuromodulators include products like BOTOX® that relax the muscles that cause wrinkles. Dermal fillers like JUVÉDERM provide volume through gel formulations that are injected into static wrinkles and hollow areas. We also offer Kybella®, an injectable product that targets unwanted fat, particularly under the chin.
Types of Cosmetic Injectables
BOTOX Cosmetic for Wrinkles and TMJ Pain
BOTOX is a purified protein known as botulinum toxin type A that is used to interrupt signals from nerves to muscles that cause muscle movement. This effect happens locally, meaning only the area that is injected is affected, so it can be used to target specific groups of lines and wrinkles, including forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet and neck bands. We also use BOTOX to relax tense muscles that cause TMJ pain.
Aquagold for Skin Brightening and Texture
Aquagold uses microneedles thinner than human hair to deliver a mix of BOTOX, filler and vitamin C into the skin. It brightens dull skin, tightens pores and softens blemishes with no downtime. Patients often choose to book it before an event, when they want the glow without the recovery.
JUVÉDERM Dermal Fillers
JUVÉDERM is a family of hyaluronic acid fillers, each made with a different formula, from thinner to thicker, to accommodate different areas of the face and for various concerns. We use a wide range of these products to address signs of aging and a lack of facial volume.
JUVÉDERM VOLUX for Jawline and Chin Contouring
VOLUX is an FDA-approved filler made to sculpt the jawline and chin. It is firmer than other fillers, so it can create a defined edge along the jaw for both men and women. Our injectors were trained in VOLUX injections before the product was widely available in the area.
JUVÉDERM for Facial Lines and Folds
JUVÉDERM products like VOLLURE® and ULTRA PLUS fill the lines that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth and the folds that pull downward. These gels provide structure but still move naturally with your face, lasting for 12-18 months.
JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® for Cheek Volume
VOLUMA was the first FDA-approved filler for the cheek area. It is placed over the cheekbone to lift skin that has lost volume and shape and to help areas that have become more hollow with age. Results last up to two years.

VOLBELLA adds subtle volume to the lips and smooths the fine vertical lines above the mouth. It is thinner than other lip fillers, so it softens the lips without overfilling them.
Kybella for Chin Fat Reduction
Kybella is made from deoxycholic acid, a substance that your body uses in the digestive tract to digest dietary fat. It is injected into the under the chin, also called the submental area, where it destroys fat cells that it comes into contact with. This is a permanent process. Once the fat cells are destroyed, they do not come back.
Liquid Rhinoplasty for Nose Contouring
Liquid rhinoplasty uses small amounts of filler to camouflage a bump on the bridge or lift a drooping tip. It changes the shape you see in profile and brings the nose into better balance with your face. We treat this area only after a detailed in-person assessment.
Tear Trough Filler for Under Eye Bags
Filler placed in the hollow between the lower eyelid and the cheek fills the shadow that makes you look tired even when rested. We use a blunt cannula here to lower the risk of bruising.
What to Expect From Cosmetic Injectable Treatments
Before
Book at least two weeks ahead of an event so any bruising has time to fade and swelling can go down. If your primary care provider approves, stop blood-thinning medications and supplements ten days beforehand, including aspirin, ibuprofen and fish oil. Skip alcohol for 48 hours, and tell us if you get cold sores, since we may prescribe an antiviral first.
During
Your provider will plan your injection points and clean your skin before starting the injection process. Most fillers contain lidocaine, and we can apply numbing cream first, so you will feel pressure more than pain. Treatments often take less than an hour.
After
Expect swelling, tenderness and small bruises for a few days. Don’t put anything on the skin until the next day, including cleanser and makeup, and do not rub the injection sites. Skip hard exercise for 24 hours and sleep on your back. We also recommend that you avoid scheduling any dental work for about 30 days after injections and wait four weeks before laser treatments.

How long do cosmetic injectable results last?
BOTOX lasts three to four months. JUVÉDERM around the mouth lasts up to a year, and VOLUMA in the cheeks lasts up to two years. Kybella removes fat cells permanently, but any remaining fat cells can still expand with weight gain.

Filler results show immediately, though swelling can hide the final shape for about two weeks. BOTOX starts working in three to five days and peaks at two weeks.

Who is a good candidate for cosmetic injectables?
